About Bk-bags
We operate from two production hubs: Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and Guangzhou in China. In both we run dedicated teams for production control, product development, quality control, logistics and management. This two-country footprint lets clients pick country of origin per order based on tariffs, lead time or sourcing diversification.
Yes. We have been supplying reusable bags to international clients since 2006, working with retailers, brands and promotional companies worldwide.
The United States and Europe are our largest markets. We also supply clients in Japan, the Philippines, Australia, and LATAM.
Yes, clients are welcome. Please let us know in advance and we will arrange the visit around the topics that matter to you (production lines, QC, material storage, audit documentation).
Products and materials
We specialize in branded reusable shopping bags. Core categories: PP woven, PP non-woven, cotton tote, canvas, jute, kraft paper (FSC® certified option, FSC® C232146), rPET (recycled polyester), bamboo, drawstring backpacks, and cooler bags.
PP (polypropylene, woven and non-woven), rPET (recycled PET, mainly from post-consumer bottles, in spunbond and stitchbond non-woven; GRS transaction certificate on request), cotton, canvas, jute, kraft paper (FSC® certified option, FSC® C232146), woven polyester and bamboo.
PP woven is made from polypropylene strips woven into a tubular fabric, strong, multi-reuse, typical lifespan 50-100+ reuses, best for grocery and retail. PP non-woven is made by bonding polypropylene fibers without weaving, softer and lighter, typical lifespan 10-30 reuses, best for promotional campaigns and events. Both are polypropylene (resin code 5).
We do not describe our fabric bags as recyclable. They are built to be reused. PP woven and PP non-woven bags are polypropylene, but we know of no collection route that recycles woven or non-woven bags for enough consumers to support a recyclable claim. rPET bags are hard to recycle, and laminated rPET bags, which bond a plastic film, usually polypropylene, to the PET fabric, are harder still. On your own bags, say reusable, state the recycled share by weight, and say hard to recycle. What we can document is recycled content: if you ask for GRS when you order, the transaction certificate for your shipment is available on request.
PP non-woven typically runs 60-120 gsm. PP woven runs 80-160 gsm with optional lamination. Cotton runs 120-280 gsm. rPET runs 85 to 140 gsm: 85 and 100 gsm uncoated stitchbond, 90 gsm spunbond, and 110 to 140 gsm laminated, where the laminated figure is the total weight including the film. We recommend gsm based on the bag’s intended reuse cycle and load.
Customization and artwork
Yes, fully custom. You define size, material, gsm thickness, handle type, gusset, lamination, print, and finish. We produce to your artwork and brand guidelines.
We offer the right technique per material: lamination printing (up to 8 colors, photographic quality, best for PP woven), silk screen (2-3 colors, best for cotton/canvas/PP non-woven), sublimation (full-color, best for polyester and mixed cotton), heat transfer (full-color, best for small runs and complex artwork), embroidery and woven labels (premium feel for cotton and canvas), and special finishes (embossing, UV coating, foil stamping for paper bags). We recommend the best combination based on your design and budget.
Send vector files (.ai, .eps, .pdf) with text converted to outlines/curves. For photographic artwork, send 300 dpi raster files at 100% of final print size. Always include Pantone color references (Solid Coated for opaque prints; Process Coated for CMYK lamination). If you only have raster logos, we can re-draw them as vector at a one-time fee.
Print area depends on bag size. As a rule, the print area is the front and/or back face, with a 1.5-2 cm safety margin from edges and seams. Bleed prints (edge-to-edge) are available on lamination only.
Yes. We match to Pantone references (Solid Coated for screen and lamination, Process Coated for CMYK). We provide a printed sample for color sign-off before mass production. Minor shade variation is normal between substrates, we calibrate against your Pantone book, not against a digital screen.
Yes. We supply a digital 3D mockup during quotation and a physical pre-production sample with your artwork printed on the actual material before we start mass production. No bag goes into production without your written sample approval.
Quantities and pricing
MOQ ranges from 5,000 to 10,000 pieces depending on the bag type.
FOB Vietnam pricing for PP woven and PP non-woven typically runs $0.20 to $0.60 USD per piece. Price depends on MOQ, gsm, lamination, size, print complexity, and certifications required. A standard 100 gsm PP woven shopper at 10,000-piece MOQ with 1-2 colors and no lamination sits in the lower half of the range. Cotton, canvas, jute, paper, and rPET are quoted per spec.
Yes. The biggest price breaks are at 30,000 / 50,000 / 100,000+ units per style. For repeat annual programs, we offer indexed pricing tied to raw-material movements.
Our standard is FOB (Cat Lai, Hai Phong or South China ports). We also support CIF and door-to-door (DAP / DDP) through our logistics partners.
Standard terms are 30% deposit to start production and 70% balance against copy of shipping documents. Original documents or telex release are issued after full payment. For repeat clients, we review longer terms case by case.
Samples
A customized sample typically costs around $300. For laminated bags, printing molds cost about $150-180 per color. Molds are reused for future orders as long as the artwork stays unchanged.
14-20 days from approved artwork to physical sample, plus courier transit time to your office.
Yes, sample costs are refunded against orders above 60,000 units per style per color.
Lead time and shipping
For a confirmed 100,000-piece order: sample approval 14-20 days from artwork; mass production 45-60 days; sea freight to EU main ports 30-35 days; US East Coast 35-40 days; US West Coast 18-22 days; LATAM main ports 35-50 days. Plan 90-110 days door-to-door from artwork sign-off for large EU/US runs.
Yes. Air freight is available for partial or full orders when launch dates require it. We quote sea + air split shipments to balance cost and timing.
Primary ports: Cat Lai (Ho Chi Minh City) and Hai Phong in Vietnam. China-produced orders ship from Shenzhen, Guangzhou or Ningbo.
Yes. Because we operate in both Vietnam and China, clients can specify country of origin per order based on tariff position, freight cost or origin-of-goods labeling. Most competitors force a single-country commitment.
Quality and certifications
Three active certifications: BSCI (ethical labor), GRS (chain of custody for recycled materials, including rPET; the transaction certificate for your shipment is available on request) and FSC® chain of custody for paper bags, wrapping paper and cardboard packaging (licence code FSC-C232146, valid to October 2031). GRS and BSCI documents are available on request for buyer due-diligence files. View our FSC certificate (PDF)
Three checkpoints: (1) inline inspection during production, (2) pre-shipment inspection (AQL 2.5 by default; tighter on request), (3) final container loading inspection. We work with client-appointed third-party inspectors (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, TÜV) on request.
PPWR compliance
Yes. Under PPWR Article 3, "packaging" is defined broadly as any material used for containment, protection, handling, delivery, or presentation of goods. A reusable bag sold or supplied at point of sale to carry purchased goods qualifies as packaging and falls under PPWR. The one exception: a bag sold as standalone merchandise can fall outside scope. For nearly all retail, grocery, promotional, and e-commerce use cases, our products are in scope, and PPWR is structured in favor of the reusable category.
No, the opposite. PPWR keeps the existing carrier bag categories and explicitly protects reusable bags (≥50 µm wall thickness) from Member State restrictions or bans. The bans target very lightweight (<15 µm) bags from 1 January 2030.
Three categories by wall thickness: very lightweight (<15 µm), banned from 1 January 2030 except hygiene/food-waste use; lightweight (<50 µm), subject to ≤40 bags per capita per year reduction targets and possible restrictions; reusable (≥50 µm), cannot be banned or restricted by Member States.
For each unique SKU on the EU market you (or your EU importer) will need: a signed Declaration of Conformity from 12 August 2026; technical documentation behind it; recyclability by design; recycled content for plastic packaging (35% by 2030; 65% by 2040 for "other plastic packaging"); harmonized EU labeling from 12 August 2028; and EPR registration in every Member State of sale.
Under PPWR Article 15 the Declaration of Conformity sits with the manufacturer, who runs the conformity assessment, compiles the Annex VII technical documentation and signs it. Article 21 then treats anyone placing packaging on the EU market under their own brand as the manufacturer for this purpose, which is the usual position for custom-branded bags, so your team signs rather than Bk-bags. An EU importer must check the Declaration exists and keep a copy available to market surveillance authorities. What we supply is the data it rests on: material composition, recycled content documented by the GRS transaction certificate, recyclability assessment and substance-of-concern data.
For "other plastic packaging", the PPWR sets binding targets of 35% recycled content by 2030 and 65% by 2040. Whether those targets apply to a reusable textile bag is not settled, and the European Commission has still to adopt the method for calculating and verifying recycled content. The recycled share of an rPET bag depends on its construction: a laminated rPET bag we produced for a client is 59% recycled by weight. We do not claim that any of our bags meets a PPWR recycled-content target.
Probably not without updates. From 12 August 2028, PPWR requires harmonized EU labeling showing material composition and sorting instructions on packaging placed on the EU market. We can pre-populate the material and sorting fields during your next artwork refresh so the update lands in the normal print cycle, not as an emergency rerun.
No. PPWR’s binding reuse targets for 2030 and 2040 apply only to transport packaging, beverage containers (HORECA), grouped packaging, and large household appliance packaging. Carrier bags are not on that list, reusable PP and rPET shoppers are not subject to a reuse-quota obligation. You get the regulatory tailwind without the operational burden of running a reuse system.
PPWR limits total Pb + Cd + Hg + Cr(VI) ≤ 100 ppm. A PFAS ban in food-contact packaging takes effect from August 2026: our food-contact constructions (e.g. cooler bags) are PFAS-free and we provide supporting material declarations on request.
Not as a blanket claim. Whether and how the PPWR applies to a bag depends on how it is supplied, and most of its requirements do not apply yet. Name the specific requirement you need to meet, and check it with your legal team.
12 August 2026, DoC requirement live; PFAS food-contact ban live. 12 August 2028, harmonized EU labeling live. 1 January 2030, very lightweight (<15 µm) bag ban; 35% recycled-content target for plastic packaging. 2040, 65% recycled-content target.

E-commerce packaging
Yes. Alongside reusable bags we supply a full e-commerce packaging line, in two families. Paper: honeycomb padded envelopes, glassine envelopes, honeycomb packing paper, honeycomb bottle sleeves, and rigid kraft cardboard mailers. PE: poly mailers and bubble mailers. Every item comes in standard sizes or fully customized: size, color, print, closure, and packing format. Tell us what you ship and we will recommend the right material and format.
Paper padded mailers: two layers of kraft paper with a honeycomb cushioning layer between them (all paper when unlaminated, material code PAP 22, FSC® certified paper available under licence code FSC® C232146). Seven stock sizes from 150×210 to 350×450 mm, all +45 mm self-seal flap, or custom. Three cushioning builds: standard single layer (ABA), reinforced double layer (ABBA) and multi-layer super-sandwich (ABABA). Options include a double adhesive strip for returns, perforated easy-tear opening, bellows or wide-bottom for extra capacity, rounded corners, and an optional water-resistant lamination (a laminated envelope is no longer all paper). Printed flexographically with water-based low-VOC inks.
Glassine is paper made smooth and semi-transparent through processing. It resists grease and dust, and lets the product show through. Brands use glassine envelopes as inner packaging for t-shirts, prints, greeting cards, photos, stickers and small accessories. Waxed glassine paper with no plastic film, fully custom sizes, any logo or design printed. For retailers we supply counted retail packs with your branding.
Yes, expandable kraft honeycomb wrap in sheets and rolls. Pull the paper and the die-cut kraft expands into a honeycomb mesh that interlocks around the product, so it wraps without tape. 100% kraft paper, widths 30/38/50 cm (custom available), roll lengths 50/100/250 m, in brown, white, black or custom colors. Also available as a boxed tear-off dispenser, ready for retail shelves.
Yes, expandable honeycomb paper sleeves that stretch over bottles, jars, candles and glassware. Flat in the box, honeycomb mesh in use: the sleeve grips the product and absorbs impact. 100% kraft paper, lengths 11/22/35/45 cm (custom available), in brown, white, black or custom colors. Used by wine and spirits shippers, cosmetics brands and candle makers. Retail packs of 5 to 40 sleeves available.
Stay-flat cardboard envelopes that keep photos, art prints, certificates, vinyl records, documents and books from bending in the mail. Stiff kraft paperboard (350-550 gsm), self-seal adhesive strip, perforated easy-tear opening. Common sizes 15×20 up to 33×46 cm, or custom, in brown kraft or white, printed with any design. They ship as flat envelopes, so in the UK most sizes travel at Large Letter rates instead of parcel rates. In the US, USPS charges rigid mailers at parcel prices.
Yes, the full LDPE range: standard poly mailers, frosted apparel mailers, tamper-evident security mailers, returnable mailers with a second adhesive strip for e-commerce returns, and fully custom printed versions in up to 8 colors. Sizes from 150×250 to 600×700 mm, thickness 40-120 micron, in white, gray or black. Light, waterproof and cost-effective. For retailers: counted retail packs in standard sizes, plain or private label.
Yes, PE bubble mailers (white/yellow), kraft paper bubble mailers for a natural retail look, metallic bubble mailers for premium unboxings, and returnable versions with double adhesive strips. Sizes from 120×180 to 550×650 mm, 80-200 micron, custom printed in up to 8 colors. The bubble lining protects electronics, cosmetics, accessories, books and other fragile goods. Prefer all-paper? Ask about our honeycomb padded envelopes.
Yes, shockproof bubble paper: kraft paper embossed with a double-sided convex bubble structure. The raised bubbles absorb impacts and keep surfaces apart, and it stays 100% paper. A dotted tear line every 30 cm means no scissors on the packing line, and fan-folded stacks store far flatter than pre-inflated plastic bubble. Available as sheets, rolls and dispenser cartons, in brown, white, black or custom colors, with logo and size customization.
Yes, kraft void-fill paper in self-serve dispenser cartons: fanfold packs (30/38 cm wide, up to 500 m), roll-type dispensers including a recycled-paper version (30-50 cm wide, up to 450 m), and honeycomb void-fill rolls. Pull, crumple and fill the gaps so contents stop shifting. 100% paper that goes into paper recycling with the carton, where collected, custom widths, grammage and printed cartons available.
Pack it Forward
Pack it Forward is our reusable mailer program. The same bag ships a customer’s order, comes back empty in the mail, and goes straight into the next shipment, no cardboard box, no single-use poly mailer. The bag is built for repeated round trips: durable water-resistant shell, heavy-duty zip closure, and a dedicated return-label panel. We supply the bags, the return logistics partner integration, and the branding. Every trip a bag comes back is one single-use mailer you do not buy.
Three steps, no printer and no separate box: the customer folds the bag flat, sticks the prepaid return label onto the return panel, and drops it in any postbox, postage paid. The loop can also close through in-store drop-off or a pickup with the next delivery, depending on how you set up the program.
Shoppers see a single checkbox in the cart (‘Ship it in a reusable bag’), with the return window and terms shown inline. You control everything from a no-code settings panel: the label text, return window, an optional non-return charge, an optional usage fee (we recommend keeping it free), accent color, and the countries where the option appears. It drops into Shopify, WooCommerce or any custom cart. Once a program is live, your team gets a fleet dashboard: shipments, return rate and fleet status.
